GSGC07 Another Sketch

It is my week to host the Great Swaps Girls challenge, and since I love a sketch challenge, that is what I decided to do. This is the sketch that I drew in my paint program. It is a little rough, but I bet you get the idea. If you would like to participate, just make a card using the sketch and post a comment with a link on the GSG blog. If you upload to SCS, use the keywords GSGC07. I still had the stuff from my Featured Stamper challenge card that I made out, so I decided to make my sketch card with it. I just love this Basic Grey paper that Jodi sent me!! My main image is from She's All That and is stamped in Brocade Blue. The flower is covered with some of the Basic Grey Cupcake paper too, and has a stylized silver brad in the center. I hope you like this sketch, and my card, and I hope you decide to play along!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

A Bella Sketch For You To Try

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope your Sunday is going as fabulous as mine is!! I spent the whole morning putting together a couple of shelves for my bed room and talking to my mom(who is staying here between shifts at work to save money on gas), and catching up on my blog surfing. While blurfing around, I stumbled upon Jen del Muro’s Sketch For You To Try. I always love her sketches, but never get around to doing them for some unknown reason(we all know I stamp enough). I decided to take some time away from the computer and participate in her challenge. The SFYTT design team had challenged themselves to use a Bella imagefor this sketch, so I decided to also. I have a bunch of Bellas, and they never get inky, so I decided to pick one that I have never used before. I stamped Jammybella in Black Stazon on watercolor paper and colored her in using my SU markers and aqua painter. The paper is from the retired SU Dots and Dashes, and I added a scalloped strip at the top. The rhinestone brads are by Making Memories and have a larger card stock circle behind them. I attached a silver spiral clip with some yummy sheer polka dot ribbon that I got from Embellish Online. I wasn’t sure what to do with all the white space, so I pierced a few holes in each corner to break up the white. Be sure to go to Jen’s blogand check out her other designers creations, they are fabulous!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Sunday's Featured Stamper

This weeks featured stamperis non other than my fellow GSGer Maren(mmbc)!!She is super sweet, super talented, and has a fantastic blog and galleryfor you to drool over!! I decided to CASE this card of Maren’s and then realized that it was one that she had CASEd from a previous featured stamper. I really try not to do that, so tomorrow, when I am not so tired, I will try again. But for now, this is my card for the FS challenge. I HAD to use some of the yummy new Cupcake paper by Basic Gray that my SCSBFF Jodisent me!! I used it for the card as well as the Maya Road chipboard blossom that I used. The hardware is from the stylized silver hardware. My main image is from the set She’s All That, and it is stamped in Brocade Blue. Maren’s card was sewn all around the edges, so I decided not to do that as one of my changes. The other changes were the stamp set, embellishments, and the colors. That is it for me now!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! I also, before I go, want to give a shout out to my good friend Laura(scrapnextras), her birthday was yesterday(5/31)!! Happy Birthday girl!!
