What can I say...

I stink!! Not literally, but I TOTALLY dropped the ball on making this announcement!! Jessica Knutsen, owner/illustrator for There She Goes opened her NEW store on Monday, September 1st!! Be sure to swing by and check out her YUMMY new stamp sets, and while you are at it, read about the TSG points program...IT ROCKS! I don't know about you...but I am on the edge of my seat waiting for my stamps to get here.....woohoo!!

Just One More

So, I am kind of an airhead and forgot to make a card for my brother in law's birthday. Truth be told, I have the hardest time making cards for him. He has a wicked sense of humor, and I really wanted to come up with something funny to give him. I recently, under the influence of my pal Donna, bought these super cute stamps from Starving Artistamps. As I was sitting here feeling ucky, I thought about bacteria, germs...fungus...AHA!! I literally had an AHA moment and had to go whip this sucker up. Isn't it funny!! Now my BIL isn't a "fungi"....he is actually a real pain in the ***, but what can you do, right?!! LOL!! Anyway, I stamped all three sets of mushrooms from the Doodlefactory Fairytale sheet. They were colored with my SU markers. To connect them together, I drew in some grass blades(which is the extent of my drawing ability so enjoy). If you can't tell, I hadn't cleaned off my table since the last card I made, so the bottom DP made another appearance and I paired it with some other random DP I had in my stash, sorry, I have no clue where it comes from. I added a bunch of piercing, white brads(can you believe I have used over 30 of those suckers today-sick!!), spiral clips, and paper piercing. The two DPs are connected together with some wide Olive Grosgrain. This card MOSTLY follows the SCS sketch for today, except the two sentiment panels(which I totally love for some reason). Okay, so now that my stomach TOTALLY hurts, I am really gonna go back to bed. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!(or I may get my Google reader caught up...hmmm)
Before I go...a joke...totally not a comedian here, but this is so appropriate...
"A mushroom walks into the bar and the bartender says, 'Hey, get out, we don't serve your kind here!!' and the mushroom says 'Why not, I'm a fungi??'"

BWAHHHAHAHAHAHA!!!

You Make Me Happy

So, I should be napping...but my stomach hurts worse when I lay down...make any sense??Not to me either, but I digress. So instead of sitting around, I decided to make a card for today's sketch challenge. Recently, I decided to mount all my Bellas on ez mount, and I am so happy I did. What I did notice while doing this is the fact that I have a shameful amount of them that I never use. I decided that when I saw today's sketch, I would use this super cute "friends of all shapes and sizes" stamp from Stamping Bella that when I first saw Jen use, I had to have. I bought it immediately, and like all my other "must haves" it sat on the shelf unused. I stamped it with Black Stazon on GP white cardstock and colored it in with my SU markers, I then covered the whole thing in Perfect Pearls to make it shimmer. The sentiment is a rub on from SU. I added a bunch of white mini brads, some spiral clips, and several different ribbons. The paper is by Chatterbox and is called Happy Bloom( I got it at the Prettie store, and since it is 45% off, now is a great time to go get it!!). Well, I need to get back to the recliner...its days like today that I wish I had a laptop so I could sit in my recliner with it!! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Prettie Wednesday-Make Your Own DP

So, two weeks ago Jackie challenged all the Prettie girls to make a card using self made DP. We were to make the DP, use it in the background, and Paper Piece with it. I chose to use the flower from Rainy Day Friends. I colored the flowers with my Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette ink pads and a blender pen. I then paper pieced the dress with the same paper, but it looked to plain, so I decided to color it in with my Mellow Moss marker, hope that isn't breaking the rules!! My main image is Flutter By Sophia and the rest of her was colored in with my SU markers and blender pens with my RHR and PP ink pads. The necklace has some liquid applique on it to make it look like pearls. I added a bunch of white brads, cause I love them, hehe, and some ribbon from SU. The gingham paper is part of the Bella Rose DSP from SU. This card is heading out today to my pal Jodi . Be sure to blurf around to the other Pretties and see what they have created, and as always, PLEASE play along if you want, we love it when you do!! Don't forget about the GINORMOUS SALE over at Paper Pretties...trust me, you DON'T want to miss it, and it only lasts this week!! This weeks challenger is Charmaine, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us. I am off to take a nap, not feeling so hot. I felt so bad overnight, that we decided that I shouldn't keep my nephew...I won't see him again until Monday, WAHHHH!!! Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I will be back later with some more...once I get a nap of course!!
