RCC52 Word to Your Mother

The name of this challenge is cracking me up, but I wouldn't expect ANYTHING less from Wendy Ramlakhan...she's HILARIOUS! She is also this week's hostess for the Ribbon Carousel challenge!

This week Wendy, our resident Coloring Goddess on the Ribbon Carousel Crew, is challenging us to create something with a Mother's Day sentiment!  The prize up for grabs is a $5.00 gift card to the Ribbon Carousel Store

For my card, I used the Clearly Sentimental about Mothers set, and paired it with October Afternoon Farmhouse paper. I used the Mini Rolled Rose Die-namics for my Berrylicious and Marigold Morning flowers. My sentiment was stamped on one of the layers from the Well Worn Labels Die-namics. My card base is Going Gray, which matches my Grey Mist Seam Binding PERFECTLY!! I used the Fishtail Flags Stax Die-namics for my flag panels behind the sentiment, and anchored them with Michael's brads.

My sketch is this week's Deconstruted Sketch which the Ribbon Carousel is sponsoring as well!!

For the inside, I used more of the same supplies and another sentiment.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

Well, that is it for me for now! Be sure to head to the Ribbon Carousel Blog to see a list of who all is participating in this week's challenge and to get your chance to play along!

May Creative Challenge-Wreaths

Hey Everyone, long time no see!! Are you ready, because it is time for this month's Creative Challenge from My Favorite Things!!

Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're creating wreaths. Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a wreath for you today!

For my wreath today, I did no stamping...but I sure gave my Cuttlebug a workout, LOL!! I started by wrapping 2in Purple satin ribbon around a 12in" foam wreath form. I secured it with Scor Tape and some extra ribbon to cover the seam. I purchased the form and ribbon at Michael's. My co-worker just had a baby girl, so I decided to make this for her. Not my normal color scheme, but I think it will work for Addalynne's room!

I used the  By the Letters Uppercase Alphabet Die-namics and cut her name out of Grapsicle and Razzleberry card stock. I used a Xyron to make the letters into stickers so I could move them around if I needed. I then cut some hearts out using the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics in the same cardstock colors, plus Sweet Tooth. They were attached with brads from Michael's, and Jute Twine from the Ribbon Carousel.

For my flowers, I used the Large Leafy Flourish Die-namics in Mellow Moss as my base, and the Perfect Petal Trio Die-namics in my card stock colors. I added large silver brads from Michael's to the center of them, as well.

Here are the Die-namics I have used:
