November Creative Challenge- Home Decor

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create Holiday Home Decor using our MFT Stamps and Die-namics.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.

For my project today, I decided to do a wall hanging using a few Die-namics. What I LOVE the most about Die-namics is the fact that they make it so easy to create FABULOUS projects with out having to buy a fancy cutting machine!! I'm still cranking away at my old Cuttlebug, and I still LOVE it as much as I did when I first got it.

I started by cutting my stockings out of some Lilybee Designs Holiday Cheer paper, and out of Wild Cherry, Berrylicious, and Sour Apple card stock. I used one of the patterned paper for the front of my stocking, and the cardstock stocking as a backer to attach it to the ribbon using the Jumbo Stocking Die-namics. My ribbon is a combo of Wild Cherry, Berrylicious, and Sour Apple. At the top of the hanging, I used Sweet Tooth grosgrain to create a loop and bow.

For the tops of my stockings, I cut the scalloped part out of Sweet Tooth cardstock, my holly berries out of Wild Cherry, and my holly leaves out of Sour Apple.

To add my Ho Ho Ho to the stockings, I used the High-rise Uppercase Alphabet Die-namics. I cut it out of my cardstock colors-Berrylicious, Wild Cherry, and Sour Apple. My finishing touch was to add snowflakes using the Let It Snowflake Die-namics in Sweet Tooth, which I added a Michael's brad to.

Here are the Die-namics I used:

Well that is it for me for now! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!! Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things blog to see a full list of designers participating in today's challenge!
